Moving Day Has Arrived....And The Fart Story

And thus we begin the arduous task of moving!! ugh....so we are SUPPOSED to be getting the keys by tomorrow afternoon and then we'll paint and try to move some essentials like the beds and what not....and then Tuesday is the BIG day of moving. So much work to do in such a small amount of time but SO worth it. We're definitely excited! Okay so here is the funniest fart story ever! I know...I'm crass but it would be wrong to keep this super funny story to myself!heeheehee Background: this is about our good friends Daniel and mary Krum. Daniel is a very blunt person....innocently blunt though....not mean blunt. Okay so Daniel and Mary were dating and Daniel was down in her room tucking her in for the night before he left and he smelled this god-awful smell....he swears it smelled just exactly like "dog shit." and he's all "I was looking everywhere for this smell expecting to find a big turd or something...." so he's looking everywhere for this including outside her room. Well he comes back in to her room and he can still smell it waaaay strong so he gets his nose way down and is putting some serious tracking effort into this and he traced it back to MARY!!!hahaha and as soon as he realized it was her he's all "Wow!!! that was really powerful Mary!" and she was sooooo MORTIFIED!!!! Her face got bright red and she started crying b/c she was so embarrassed! And so he says he put his arms around her and kissed her head and told her "It's okaaaay. EVERYONE farts!" haaaaaaaaahahahahaaaaa Tat is hilarious!!! I just imagine Mary hunkered down beneath her covers the whole time hoping and praying that the smell either dies really quick or he gives up the quest for the pile of dog crap! and THEN when she realized he had discovered her smelly little secret........even now i am in hysterics trying to type this.....she is DEVESTATED!!! and SOOOO HUMILIATED!!!hahaha that is so funny dude....she was probably so nervous he would discover it was her smell that she was sweating!!! hahaha ooooh man....to have been a fly on the wall at that moment!heehee.....okay that's it. peace out all. love ya!

Sooo-keeping with Olsen Family tradition, we had nice big spaghetti sunday dinner and Nikolas the Bug LOVED IT! If you look closely in one of the pictures you can see "Chomper,"...haha sooo cute! I think he is looking so much more like Jonathan every day! So Jon has been growling with Nik when they play and Nikolas has caught on...now he crawls around grabbing things and growling at them! It's so cute! Also, about the spaghetti dinner, we made the meatballs with half pork and half beef......didn't like it so much. I just like beef meatballs. I know all the greats say you should use a combo....but i don't like it so much. Also!!! We are sooo- excited because we move into our new home on Friday!!! Party in the house! I am so excited for my big huge wonderful soft bed and my own master suite!! ahhh....it's going to be so nice to shower and brush my teeth at night without worrying if i am going to be waking the bug!hahaha Also, regarding the pictures with me in them.....I do realize i need to do something about thse eyebrows....wow....i didn't realize how terrible they were!!! Our New Crib

So I'm super excited everyone!!!!! Check out the pics of our new crib. We are really excited for our very first home. Our offer was accepted today. Okay, it's a three bed, two bath condo in Bluffdale. It's the perfect spot, tucked away in a little valley of sorts ina small little community of it's own. the pcitures don't really do it justice...BUT hopefully we will be able to walk through it again here soon and i will take some better pics. I am super excited to do a little painting and upgrading!!! WOOHOO! Okay anyways...my buggy is super sick today so i have to go....BYE!

hahaha....yes do you hear that music?? That is a music shout out to the ol' days. I love love love love LOVE that song...so enjoy. At any rate...as most of you have either guessed or read, that blog below was posted by Jonathan. What a dork. At any rate....so we put an offer in on the condo that we saw two nights ago and the sellers have until 5pm tomorrow to respond....i am so nervous!!! I have pigged out all day on mini cadbury eggs and chocolate covered cherry jelly sticks b/c i am so nervous! Obviously they are going to counter offer....but i hope it's good. anyways what else....Oh yes! haha my credit score is higher than jonathan's! heehee....Now i'm not only older and wiser....but my credit is better too!haha Oh ya...interesting, we watched the Texas democratic debate and i was SHOCKED at the way Hillary behaved regarding the whole health issue thing she wouldn't let go and the way she ignored the moderator....ya...nice conduct. THAT's the kind of president iw ant sitting across the table from Musharaf, Chavez, and Raul Castro. Oh yes, let's not forget Putin and China and North Korea.....whatever. Also...did anyone else notice the glaringly obvious makeup line on her fat old neck!?!?! Blech...i just hate her. OH! ALSO! IMPORTANT NEWS HERE!!! I am officially 3 lbs. below my pre-pregnancy weight!!!! WOOT WOOOOOOT! Party in the house....Oh and Nick is doing this weird thing lately where he bounces his head back and forth??? It is so weird...? Is that normal?? haha..he's such a goofball! AND! He is finally moving forward consistently...not quite an official "crawl" but he gets up on all fours and just throws hismelf forwards. Sometimes he gets up on all fours and then gets into the bear crawl position...hmmmm...i hoep he doesn't do the bear crawl as a means of transportation like Hazel did....that was freaky friday to watch!hahahaaokay i can't think of anything else right now.

Oh My Gosh! I am soo freakn' excited for this movie. Did you see who they casted for Jacob (What a hottie!!!). I obviously don't understand how anyone could actually like Edward (such a pig). Anyways putting aside my lust for Jacob (who could come and bite me during the next full moon, if you gals know what I mean ;-), this is going to be the greatest movie ever made.

So it happened AGAIN today!!! I go to Johnnie Beefs as soon as i walk in the door, Johnnie shouts out to me asking my if it's my chocolate malt today and then he has his employee make it "real special" because I am the FAVORITE!hahaha....i was getting my malt made before any of the other customers in line!hahaha...really though, how could i NOT be ANYONES favorite??? ...exactly...it's impossible. Okay so i watched the movie "Becoming Jane" tonight....and then i had to watch it again immediately following that. It BROKE MY HEART! I couldn't even stand the inevitability...it was so tragic! And i absolutely fell in love with LeFroy...Heidi Ho if you are reading this i hope you have seen this movie and if not...you have to. So...now I have to go buy the Pride and Prejudice book to actually read. I have, admittedly, watched the colin firth movie version around a million times....but after seeing this movie...i am inspired to put aside my twilight obsession (temporarily of course) and delve into 18th century english romances....Also, my poor little buggie is absolutely sick!!! My poor baby. He's had a fever since monday and his nose is so stuffy and runny and now he is coughing.....he just sits and cries big crocodile tears when i set him down even for the most necessary of reasons....poor baby. Okay...that's all i can think of for now....

uuuuh ya...two quick side notes: the picture with a smiley face on a stomach....that was MY fat stomach (when i was preggers dude) and i was out COLD so jonathan took the liberty of drawing a smiley face on my tummy with lipgloss....and the picture where i am holding nik...okay i look freakin' fat as hell but let me remind you all that that was taken RIGHT after i got home from the hospital and i was swollen to 5x my normal size b/c of all the pitocin....okay....just needed to clear that up....

dude....'nuf said. i am SICK! I can't BELIEVE THIS! three days ago i woke up with a tight throat...only slightly tight though. yesterday was a tinsy bit worse....today sucked and now i cannot even sleep!!!! i am so pissed. It hurts so bad just to try and swallow that i cannot sleep...i'm pissed. and to throw a log onto the fire, the power went out over here for like 2 hours right in the middle of my movie (stardust)and jonathan made me run around in the dark trying to catch him b/c he kept flashing that damn flashlight on and off in my face....haha...okay actually that was kind fo fun and funny....., i went to look at another condo today that i was hoping had some potential and had my hopes SMASHED to the ground....i could go on and on....anyways. There were some good points about today ie: jonathan, nikolas and i all went to my favorite place on earth "Jonnie Beefs." For those of you who are sadly unaware of its existence, it is only the greatest hot dog place EVER!!! And....i have yet to find a chocolate malt in the valley that can rival this man's.....oh it is so fabulous! So basically, jonathan and i go there saturday afternoons when we are out and about anyways (we've beend oing this since the 2nd week nik had been home from the hospital) and i always order the same thing, a utah dog and chocolate malt. And it is GREAT because now i walk in, i am standing in line behind some WT couple taking too damn long to pick a freaking hot dog and he sees me and asks "What kind of malt today?" (Sometimes i change up the flavor to strawberry....very rarely though) so....the recognition is nice. But then...to make it even sweeter....instead of giving me the regular size, he just dumps the malt and all the left overs from it in a huge cup!!!! I LOVE THE MAN! Oh and it was a GLORIOUS malt to be sure. you guys have GOT to check this place out! First of all the man who owns it takes pride in his establishment. he is ALWAYS there to make sure everything is running smoothely etc, he gets to know his customers and appreciates them, greets you and says goodbye when you leave and he really is from chicago so he's got the original chicago dog thing goin' on. i'm telling you.....this isn't your run-of-the-mill hot dog joint....we're talkin' "quality dogs" dude....mmmmmmmm....okay that's all. SUPER EXCITED PEOPLE! SO! After nights and nights of staying up until 6am (no joke) looking for a place to call home and crunching numbers.....i THINK we might have found our first home!! YIPPEE! the pictures aren't the GREATEST but you get the general idea. EVERYTHING is going to be brand spanking new in it! All stainless steel frigidaire appliances....EVERYTHING! And since it is in the "preconstruction" phase we get to pick out the 2-tone paint, the granite, tiles, carpet...cabinets...eVERTHING! I am so freaking pumped!!! words cannot express my joy....if you have never lived with inlaws, it would be impossible to appreciate the elation this moment brings. hahahaha.....anyhoo...take a look. Once we sign it will take anywhere from 30-45 days for them to finish it and THEN i will take some new pics of my own to show off my impeccible taste as an interior decorator. haha...riiight. other than the condo...nothing new to report really....love you all!

Okay so check him out! I just HAVE to brag and show this picture around the world! Doesn't he look so handsome?? I am so proud of my little brother. Ever since he was a little boy he has wanted to be a soldier and he has gone out and fulfilled that; he is an officer in the United States Army doing something with disarming bombs or something like that. I am so grateful for him and other boys (and girls) like him that willingly step forward to fight for us and defend our country, our homes, our way of life... He's so brave (i know that sounds hoky but it's true!)....and he is such loving person with a good and gentle heart....of course, he IS a brother and a boy so he isn't PERFECT...heehee, but he is perfect for me! BJ...if you're reading this, I love you so much buddy...I tried to call you on your Birthday but OF COURSE i didn't get you...at any rate....Happy Birthday!!!

"Oh Babay babaaaay...babaybabayyyybay..." "come on baby light my fire...."haha...seriously. I absolutely fell in LOVE with him in "On the Waterfront," and when i saw "A Street Car Named Desire..." well...he had me at "Stella! Hey Stella!" he's just sooooooooo...so good and yet dangerous at the same time. So tough like he could knock your teeth out, but gentle and soft....oh! i just love him. Truth be told...i see the same things in jon so that's probably where the attraction for marlon comes from....but whatever....just watch the sexiest man not alive...it's worth the 5 minutes!!!!!

So I just had a FABULOUS night out with some girlfriends at the OG as a farewell dinner for my bffea here in salt lake....I am so sad she is going to be moving in 2 weeks. Since posting my last blog i have decided something...suppose my worst nightmare comes true and the ticket comes down to McCain/Clinton....guess what people!?!? It's called a "write-in!" That's right!! I was so angry when i thought of having to vote for either them or stupid Nader because none of those are representative at ALL of my "political position." ...enter the "write-in." Seriously people!! Why do we feel like we HAVE to vote for the candidates presented to us on a ticket??? We don't! ...IIIII don't! But they hope that's what we do....they hope we swallow defeat and buy into the broken two party system...that's what they want....but if we "stuck it to the man" (as it were) ....if everyone did that.....haha....hmmm....interesting to see how the two parties would react?? If the american people said "you can't tell me who i have to vote for...." hmmmm.... how would they react/adapt to that? Interesting.....Also for all of you who do not get the pleasure of listening to the sean hannity radio talk show during the day....Anne Coulter came on adn announced that if John McCain won the Republican nod....she would then endorse and campaign for Hillary Rodham Clinton. Now...that's just as bad as McCain but the point was well made. Raging republicans (myself included) would rather vote for Obama or Hillary then McCain...grrr.whatev dude. What else is new....OH! i am so excited for all my hookers and hos to join me in blogging!!! Way to go Girls!!! oh ya house hunting is a NIGHTMARE!!!! i hate it! lata!

haaaaa!! That applies to all of us in the Shamo family. Nikolas is - as previously stated below - cutting his first tooth (lovingly referred to as chomper), Jonathan is not allowing me to expound on his "doneness" for fear of prying eyes (???) and i am quite simply...done. Done looking for a house or a condo or a townhome, done looking for the cities for a potential house, condo or townhouse, done with crunching all the numbers...usually at one in the morning, done with winter, done with the snow, done with it all. siiiiiigh...anyways, finally figuring out how to post pics thanks to my genius husband. these pics were taken Saturday....by the by....just heard snippits of the debate at the Reagan Library....I am done with the republican presidential race. How can McCain be such a popular "republican" candidate!?!?! HE'S NOT EVEN A REPUBLICAN!!! Sure he's running under the name...but that's the extent of his conservative agenda. I honestly do not know what i would do if Romney did not get the republican nod....I HATE John McCain. I hated him 8 years ago, despised him 4 years ago, and have spent every day loathing him since then. He has been working so hard for the last 8 years(especially the last 4) to position himself for the presidency...all he is is a grand-standing S.O.B. ...honestly, out of all the candidates in the running, there are only 2 who i feel are in this because they honestly want tohelp make things better and be a leader of change for the good OF THE PEOPLE; and they are Mitt Romney and (drum Roll)Barak Obama. Clinton Huckabee and ESPECIALLY McCain are in this for the glory of the position. They are the quintessential washington politicans....selfish, self-centered, egotistical a**holes with too many special interest group "friends"...or more aptly put...special interest group business partners....it scares me....i know it is our patriotic duty to vote.....but....what if it came down to clinton/mccain!?!? it makes me physically ill to consider voting for either.....okay whatever...jon has pointed out that this is a long rant so i'll just end it here....

You know when you are in sacrament meeting and you're trying to feel the spirit? Or perhaps you are trying to prepare yourself for the sacrament....you're listening to the well-meaning (but seriously out of tune) choir sing...you're focusing on the prayer being offered by someone who has obviously "prepared" the prayer for the last week.....and you're jerked out of your quiet reverie by an ear-splitting screech?? ...ahem....well that would be my bug Nikolas!!! haha...not even kidding! There are other babies in the ward and he is the ONLY one who feels the need to kick his personality into overdrive during church services! ...everyone else's baby is sleeping in their car seats....but not the bug! Oh no! He is ripping my hair out by the roots, trying to chew jonathan's left ear off, making bwbwbwbwbwbwbbww sounds with his lips, and screeching like a velocoraptor inbetween!heehee....i'm too amused to be embarrassed. you guys have to see this little boy in action...totally his daddy's boy....hmmmmm - so perhaps...it is possible then that he is the spawn of satan afterall! haaaaaaaaaaahahaha .... on a sad note, we just heard the news that the prophet has passed. Sad news to be sure....but how wonderful for him to be reunited with his wife whom he has missed so terribly!! Interesting though...lots of changes in the organization this last year...hmmm....okay well....that's all i've got for today. NO WAIT!!!! The most important news of ALL!!! The buggy-bear has actually cut his first tooth!! HOORAY! That finally explains the incessant neediness that his driven me to the ends of my mind the last week...BUT we are nevertheless VERY excited about this and have given his first tooth the name of "Chomper." hahaha....i just love my little man. okay...by for the reals now.

This is the fam at christmas 2007....i cn't get the picture to publish any more clearly so it is difficult to see that my little bug is the cutest!!! ...buuut i'm sure everyone either already knows tha t or could have guessed it anyways!haha...uh christmas was NUTZ! It is inSANE having EVERYONE get together with all the zillions of kids. there's 11 grandkids now - Libby is due in march and that will make 12 and then aimee in sarah in julyish augustish makes 14!!?!?!?!

We are SO Excited!! Jonathan just got a BIG promotion at work and we are FINALLY in the market to buy our first home!!!!! Seriously....to have our own place again with some degree of permanence....wow. I'm gonna have my own fridge, my own stove, my own washer and dryer....my OWN bedroom and TV (loud, audible gasp)I'm going to get to sleep on my beautiful king size bed with 3" memory foam topper and memory foam pillows with 400 thread count egyptian cotton sheets and down quilt....i'm beside myself. Jonathan is most excited about Nikolas' room....we're going to get him a "fat head" for one of his walls....just haven't decided between Duke, LT or Dwyane Wade....hmmmm....okay so i am going to learn how to post pics and i will keep you all updated on the Bug(nik) and potential first homes......luvs!!!
